Simple Success
Posted by: | CommentsHey everyone i hope you are continuing to pursue your fitness and weight loss goals with unrelenting passion. This post actually reminds me of a kid i saw at the gym yesterday, actually we even played game of pick up basketball on the same team before i left the gym for my Monday Movie night. Okay, so back to the kid who is probably 18-19 years old, i remember seeing him about a year ago and he would come play pick up basketball with us a few times a week and he had a little bit of skill but the thing holding him back was he was definitely overweight.
So fast forward to about three months ago, i was stretching before one of my workouts when i saw this kid again who i have been seeing every so often up at the gym for a while now and i finally noticed his hard work paying off. He was finally starting to shed some serious weight actually he definitely had shed some serious weight and now whenever he plays pick up hoops with us he is a very effective player compared to a year ago when he did not have the quickness and endurance to keep up with some of the more conditioned players out there.
What i am getting at by telling you this story is that the results do not come overnight, if that is what you expect then you might as well quit before you even start. Which reminds me of a great quote, “fitness is not a destination, it’s a lifestyle”. This young kid is on the right path and we can all learn a lesson from the dedication that he along with many others you may know personally who have lost weight and are feeling great.
Which leads to another great “lifestyle” story, a friend of mine Katherine Jolly has really amped things up as far as working out, losing weight and feeling great

Go For What You Believe In
Posted by: | CommentsIt has been a bummer of a day here in Austin thanks to the weather.So i was on YouTube looking for some cool videos to cheer me up when i found this one. Sometimes life is about more than what you have and who you know, it is more so about who you are and what you stand for that represent you. Check it out my friends.
I hope that we can all gather some important insight from this video. We are all different and unique in our own special ways, that is something we must never forget and should learn to shine in our own specific niche that we carve. Be you and do what you do.

Effort 1st, Results 2nd

I really liked it right off the bat and it is just fine with me if you want to make fun of me for this but i am a sucker for these kinds of videos, i really like how certain videos when combined with the right music can strike a cord in your mind or well at least in my mind i guess. To me i read a certain theme from this video, see what you think about the video…..
Okay. do you still think i am just a cheesy guy who is a sucker for these type of motivational videos? Either way is fine with me, but i’ll share what i get from this video. I believe it is all about telling the individual, not JUST the athlete competing for a title in his/her chosen sport that with enough hard work and time input to your chosen goal it can be achieved. Similar to my previous post “Does The Early Bird Get The Worm?” it shows these athletes putting in that hard work all by themselves when nobody else is watching early in the morning, then near the end of the video after all the blood, sweat and tears of weight pushing, sprinting, jumping, swimming and repeating those activities time after time they are then able to reach their goal and shine in the spotlight in front of all their greatest fans and peers. That is what it is all about, that is why we train, that is why i am a sucker for these kinds of videos.

Early Bird gets The Worm?
Posted by: | CommentsIn light of my early rise and shine today i want to share this video with you today . I decided to wake up about an hour or two before i normally would on my Monday mornings and made a trip to the high school track right by my house. I ran a few sprints and some moderate intensity build up sprints. Needless to say by the end of my 30 minute workout i was drenched in sweat and was having a hard time catching my breath. This indicated two things…
1- My conditioning is not at a level where i want it to be BUT i pushed myself past my threshold. When i say i pushed myself past my threshold that means i should not be able to hold a conversation with my workout partner when past that point or i should be breathing quite heavily and be able to say only a couple words at a time , that is what past my “threshold” means. I urge you to do this when exercising for a decent duration for example if you workout for 45 minutes be past your “threshold” for half that time at least if you can sustain.
2- My day is now off to a great start and my metabolism is humming along at the speed of a cheetah, all due to the quick 30 minute workout from this morning.
So i hope this video and words of wisdom from yours truly can help you get out of the bed tomorrow morning and into “exercise mode”, trust me you WILL be glad you did it.
In case you were wanting to know here is the workout i performed at the track this morning.
Min 0-5) Warm-up and movement prep consisting of dynamic and static stretches.
Min 5-10) 2 x 400 meter laps at a light pace.
Min 10 – 25) 10 x 20meter light sprints
4 x 40 meter build up sprints ( full speed by 20 meters)
4 x 100 meter sprints on the curve at 70-75 % full speed
1 x 400 meter sprint 100 % effort
Min 25-30) Cool Down with static stretches. Continue walking around track as well to flush out lactic acid in muscles aiding the muscle soreness recovery process.

5 Simple Weight Loss Tips
Posted by: | CommentsSometimes in the battle against weight loss you may become frustrated and lose your focus. Also, their is the case every so often where the beginner doesn’t know where to begin.
In light of these scenarios and any other case that you might find yourself in i want to share with you 5 simple weight loss tips.
1. Eat a healthy wholesome breakfast as i outlined in this previous post here. Try to keep it with a balanced mix of carbs, fats and protein.
2. Try to consume 2-3 whole eggs per day. I outlined the reasons why in a previous post here.
3. Exercise at a moderate-high intensity for 30-45 minutes 3-5 times per week.
4. Eat very light at night, especially the last 2 hours before sleep. Keep all carbs minimal in the evening time and sugar as well.
5. Get a good nights rest. Most scientific studies recommend 7-8 hours of quality sleep per night.
I hope these 5 simple weight loss tips will help you with your weight loss goals.

Woman Wants To Be Fattest Female in The World
Posted by: | CommentsI was reading one of my fitness magazines the other day when i came across an article about a woman in America who wants to become the fattest woman in the world. When i first read this i had to re-read the headline and i was shocked and disgusted all at the same time. Here is an article from The Examiner, Donna Simpson is the lady with the lofty goal of becoming not only the fattest woman in the world but the heaviest woman in recorded history.
Here is a snapshot of her life. She consumes thousands of calories per day my estimate would be 5-8,000 each day. Donna spends $750 per week on groceries and supports that hefty economic toll from a website where people actually pay to watch her eat food during the day. On a side note i feel extremely sorry for Donna, but even more sorry for the individuals who pay to watch this woman eat herself to death; there is something wrong with that picture. She aims to weigh over 1,000 pounds or 1/2 ton at which point she will then hold the sad title of worlds heaviest/fattest woman.
And we wonder why the health of our country is falling down the tubes at such a fast rate. I talked before about the obesity problem in America Yet when we see people like this just wasting their life away on our dime (we pay for her healthcare and unemployment) we simply cannot be surprised at the health of our country’s people. It makes me wonder if she is doing this for fame or in order to be the heaviest woman in the world? I am not sure but i believe that if you are visiting this site and have read this post then you are the exact opposite of Donna Simpson in every way, meaning you have admirable goals of losing weight, feeling great, and living life to it’s fullest and experiencing everything it has to offer versus eating, sleeping and wasting life away in an apartment everyday and contributing alost zero to our society and humanity for that matter. You are not that person and i know it.

Cure for The Workday Blues

Morning Motivation Video

Every now and then we all need a boost, wheter it comes from a friend, a coach, trainer, loved one , movie ,book, song, etc… The point is to always try to be sharp and aim to be on top of your game no matter what your game is. The best weight loss supplements
Posted by: | CommentsHello all. And once again welcome to Do This Lose Weight, where you can fast-track your fitness and weight loss goals. It is now almost the end of March and we are currently into the Spring season. Which means now we can be fighting the good battle with our old enemies 1) allergies and 2) weight loss, especially to begin preparations for the summertime and swimsuit season.
Aww i could almost feel everybody tensing up at the thought of having to show off that not so ready body, however never fear for there is still plenty of time to fight the good fight and win. Especially with the aid of one of these weight loss supplements i am about to show you. These supplements i am about to recommend today are not for the faint of heart, and when i say that i am serious. I have taken 2 of the 3 products i am about to recommend and they are pretty intense, so when you take these i would definitely recommend taking them when you wake up in the morning and then take your second dose around lunchtime and never consume them after 5:00 in the afternoon, especially if you are sensitive to caffeine like i am and if you like a good nights rest as much as i do. In addition, i would also recommend only using 1 bottle of this stuff and then taking some time off of it. There is no evidence showing that these supplements are bad for you but i just always support the clean diet and strict exercise routine, but around this time of year i am always an advocate for the consumption of dietary supplements that can help us really nail our conditioning the way we want too and get the ideal body we have always wanted; with that being said these weight loss supplements will drastically help you with that very pursuit.
1) Hydroxycut Hardcore- i tried a bottle of this a few years ago and followed a very strict diet and got as lean and chiseled as i probably ever have before. It was an intense supplement, but like i said i am very sensitive to caffeine. So take it early in the day and at the end of this post i will place a link for some melatonin to help you fall asleep more easily, as well as improve your quality of sleep.
2) Meltdown by VPX- i actually took this last summer and was on my way to my best physique ever until i injured my shoulder and was out of commission for about 3-4 weeks and never quite got back on track the way that i wanted.
3) Eat Clean- Eat Clean? What the heck does that mean??? i threw you for a curve ball here, you thought it would be another supplement but in fact my recommendation here is to eat a very very very clean diet and then add in one of the previously mentioned weight loss supplements for the best body you have ever owned. That means consume fruits, veggies, complex carbohydrates, lean meats, quality proteins, healthy fats and nuts and seeds. Once you get the eat clean principles down you can then add in these weight loss supplements for the icing on the cake.
So guys and gals, lets get this thing going in the right direction and before you know it we will be more than ready to show off that sexy body.
